Middle East - Arab Radio & Television (ART), a major pay-TV broadcaster in the Middle East, has revealed that it plans to launch a "significant" IPTV service this year, initially offering on-demand services throughout the region.

The new service will run on a solution from South Korean firm BS Mediasoft called ApolloTV, a core middleware solution featuring asset management, content distribution, EPG management, authentication and edge management capabilities. "Its advanced technical features have been central to our decision to work with BSM on this exciting new venture”. More details on the launch are expected to be available shortly.
